Roger’s Run

Roger’s Race (Walk & Run 5K) is a free, community event hosted in partnership with Modesto Moves Training Team and Faith Home Adult & Teen Challenge (FHTC), located at 6643 Faith Home Road in Ceres. While this is a fun run open to all, participants can expect a professionally timed experience this year with timing chips and a race clock. Awards will be given to the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.

At Faith Home Teen Challenge, we are grateful for our partnership with Modesto Moves, who provide race guidance and support participants throughout the event. We are especially thankful that 100% of the proceeds collected by the Moves organization are donated directly to support the work being done at Faith Home. Our program is dedicated to helping men rebuild their lives through a faith-based approach, creating lasting, positive impact within our local community.

Roger’s Race was originally the vision of Roger Williams, a Modesto Moves walker and a valued part of the Faith Home community, who passed away unexpectedly in July 2017. In 2018, Modesto Moves and Faith Home came together to bring his vision to life. Today, this event continues as Roger’s legacy—honoring his heart for service and his commitment to the mission of Faith Home Teen Challenge.

The event will also feature a pancake breakfast hosted by Faith Home (suggested $5 donation per person), along with drawing prizes (included with your race bib) and raffle prizes organized by Modesto Moves.
