Northern California Construction trainers will do classroom training towards the 144-hour pre-apprenticeship training. Our four-man skilled construction team will do the training. One of our former students, Stephen Barney, is the General Contractor. The first cohort of seven students will be in training for 8 weeks.
Students come from FHATC, Turlock Rescue Mission and the community. It will serve the disadvantaged and help them move towards job training, skills development, and a livable wage.
Our FHATC staff is heavily involved in multiple aspects of this project. Because of the EDD Grant, much tracking of each student is required as well as recruiting other students. We hope to do five 8-week cohorts each year. There are multiple future projects in the works , and we are excited about providing hope and a future to a community in need.
Pray for our team!
