Valley Mod Builders is the name of our enterprise that trains men for careers in the construction industry while building affordable modular housing in our manufacturing facility. We are blessed to have a tremendous partnership with Stanislaus Equity Partners.
Construction of our first unit will begin on October 14. This 600-square-foot home will feature 2.5 bedrooms and all the amenities needed for comfortable living. Our construction staff will begin the project, and approximately three weeks later, students from our third cohort will join them.
Our staff works an eight-hour day, while students spend four hours in class and four hours receiving hands-on training in our manufacturing plant. This combination of classroom instruction and practical experience equips our students with valuable skills for the construction industry.
Our first unit will serve as a model home at the Ranch unless a buyer comes along. From there, we plan to move into production, with an initial order of seven to fifteen homes.
We believe Valley Mod Builders is the only enterprise of its kind operating within an Adult & Teen Challenge center in the United States. We are excited to provide quality construction training while helping meet the growing need for affordable housing.
