I would like to share about our Faith Home chicken family. We began with 4 young hens, then
after adopting a rooster, our number of chickens has expanded to 7. In early Spring, one of our
hens hatched 7 more baby chicks!
We’ve expanded the chicken coop with an addition play yard for the babies to explore. It’s been
fun for all of us here at the ranch to watch the process as the mother hen hatches and then
nurtures and teaches her babies how to live the life of a chicken.
Many students have commented that this is the first time they’ve ever stopped to appreciate a
mother hen and her offspring. We all love watching the chickens throughout the day. There’s
just something about God’s creation that’s soothing to the soul.
God has blessed everything we put our hand to on this holy ground. All glory and praise to Him.
